Labor Law Compliance

As a successful national service provider, Rapid Medical understands the importance of staying up-to-date with each individual state’s laws. Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California, have disrupted the medical logistics industry by passing aggressive labor laws that prohibit the use of independent contractors. These states now require companies to bring these contractors on board as employees.

In these states, Rapid operates with the employee model to protects our customers from government scrutiny, avoiding transgression of state labor laws.

Trained Delivery Associates

  • Rapid performs extensive background checks and drug tests on all employees. Drivers are screened via LIVE SCAN for social security verification, criminal search, sex offender search, and OIG/GSA name search.
  • Delivery associates wear uniforms and identification badges. They each undergo certification training programs, receiving coaching while in the field, and undergo continuing education to stay up to date with rules and regulations.
  • All delivery associates are insured and are trained in proper specimen handling procedures, and are HIPPA, OSHA, and DOT compliant.
  • Delivery associates are equipped with two-way radios, scanners, spill kits, and medical totes.
  • Delivery associates are consistent in their pickup points, building strong relationships with laboratory managers at each pickup.
  • Rapid’s HR oversees all delivery associates, implementing disciplinary action when necessary in order to keep delivery standards high and clients satisfied.

THE EMPLOYEE MODEL PROTECTS RAPID’S CUSTOMERS FROM GOVERNMENT SCRUTINY, AVOIDING TRANSGRESSION OF STATE LABOR LAWS.
